Tumbi (without "h") Point is north of a 45 km-long segment of the eastern shoreline that consists of sandy beaches and swampy river outlets without a single rocky habitat. This sandy section of the east coast ends at Metangula where most rock-dwelling cichlids are different. The photo shows Tumbi Point when approached from the north.
