pseudotropheus tropheops chilumba

Post by crowndroyal » Mon Jan 11, 2016 11:07 am

I have been searching everywhere to try and find the exact positive ID on this fish

the original page is here

If anyone can identify the actual species and type and the location they are from that would be great.

I have been searching and searching to get some and no one ever seems to have them.

Thank you all for the help in advance.

I used to have Tropheops sp "chilumba", but they looked different (no red fins, especially):

Having said that, tropheops is stil a whole world to discover, I think. There's many different species and - especially - varieties. It could also be a matter of age. Maybe the red doesn't show until later?

Too Much red. Probably a manmade fish.
