Jack Dempsey problem

Post by Colton » Tue Jun 22, 2010 6:40 pm

I have 6 Blue Gene Jack Dempsey they are around 3" in a 55 gal. and 1 of the bigger ones I believe it is the dominate male of the tank, his mouth is stuck open a little bit, he is eating just fine the tank water levels all test good, I don't know what's causing it any one have a idea what it could be causing it or something I can treat it with?

Thank You for any help!

It could have something stuck in its mouth, or it might have broken or dislocated its jaw through fighting.

It could also be genetic. 'blue gene' implies inbreeding, and inbreeding often results in weird shaped animals
