Paretroplus kieneri slow growth

For those of you with kieneri experience, have you found that they grow slowly? I have had six 2-3 inch individuals in a sparsely populated 135 and they just don't seem to be growing much at all.

Great question Michael- Paretroplines grow slowly in general- kieneri happens to be one of the smaller species so it's growth is also slow- there are instances whereby a dominant fish will grow twice the pace of its conspecifics. So generally speaking expect 1/2 the growth rate compared with Central American cichlids. By the way, temperature, water hardness and salinity do affect their growth rates in that order.
