Paretroplus nourissati / lamena with eggs

Post by Jim Cumming » Wed Jun 22, 2016 8:11 pm

While doing a water change, I noticed one of my large pairs of lamena sticking close to a flower pot. Checking it out, I found a small clutch of eggs (~30) present. They have been there most likely for a couple of days and some could have been lost. This species doesn't produce as many eggs as other Paretroplus species and not frequently and successfully bred, I'm happy to get any fry out of this. I will be removing the eggs to hatch and raise away from the parents.
