Pollini or Bleekiri?

Post by robham7770 » Sun Mar 01, 2015 9:38 pm

Just got a pollini from the lfs a couple of days ago. Most of what I have found online is somewhat ambiguous as to the difference between pollini and bleekeri. How can I tell the difference?

thé true polleni is probably unknown in the trade It's a big spotted population from Ambilobe, there are pictures from Olaf Pronk, on m'y web site. Bleekeri is a junior Synonym.
The small spotted populations are undescribed, as well as the large spotted population from
Andapa.

Don't know if this helps but....to me the difference is dramatic.
Here is Paratilapia sp Andapa (sometimes called "large spot")

and here is Paratilapia sp "small spot"

Very different personalities between large and small spot as well (with large spot, in my experience, being much rougher on each other).
