Some Baby Menarambo Have Left Home

Post by Jim Cumming » Tue Feb 19, 2013 10:32 am

I have been raising two spawns of Paretroplus menarambo. The earliest spawn occurred about two months ago and I have put up a few postings about the progress of the fry. A fish keeping acquaintance of mine from Thompson, Manitoba (500 miles north of Winnipeg), came into town to pick up some 'menarambo' (14) and P. bleekeri (4). The 'menarambo' fry are about 1" and I decided they were large enough to "leave home". Despite driving through a raging whiteout blizzard that took 15 hours to get home, Tyler made it home without losing any fish. He sent me a couple of pics of the 'menarambo' to show me how they were doing. I'm passing these pics on of these cute little Pinstripe Damba. What we won't do to get the fish that we want, eh? (Canadian?)
