Oreochromis variabilis?

Post by melanotheron » Thu Mar 13, 2014 4:04 am

How nice to see the article on the Ngege (Oreochromis esculentus) in the latest Cichlid News magazine. My favorite Victorian as of late. Very curious about the status of the other endemic, O. variabilis (the Mbiru) in the hobby. Does anyone ever keep this species? Do the 'maradadi' color variations still exist in captivity or in the remaining wild populations? Thanks!
