Humphrey Greenwood

Hi. This was discussed briefly somewhere and I cannot remember where, but I have read that all of the genus proposed by Humphrey Greenwood are being re-evaluated. I'm wondering why this is? He seems to have made a large contribution and it strikes me odd that they would go thru all of his work again. Can anyone explain this to me in layman's terms?

Species are often re-evaluated.
As more research is carried out what was originally considered a local variant of a species, may be found to be a new species and vice versa.
