Lamprologus meleagris and stappersi Difference?

Post by Mark Smith » Sat Jun 11, 2016 3:49 pm

Has anyone noticed that the photo of the preserved specimen of L. stappersi appears to have a much longer/larger ventral fin length/size than does L. meleagris? Both images appear on this site.

I see what you're saying, Mark. I didn't find any photos labeled meleagris in the species index, however, just stappersi. The fins of the preserved specimen do look longer than the aquarium specimens though...

Hi Dan. All the photos of live specimens in the species profile for L. stappersi are in fact L. meleagris.
