I need help please..
I recently bought a cyathopharynx furcifer about 8" long & it has really long clear stringy slimy poop & barely eating, could it be constipated, internal parasite or bloat. It doesn't look like bloat to me I've dealt with that in Tropheus.
Any help much appreciated
Pete

Re: Cyathopharynx needs help
Pete, I have lost many a Foai over the years to what I have attributed to bloat. I have treated them successfully with metro and/ or Clout with success if caught early enough. The clear or white stringy feces is usually a pretty clear indicator. Both Foai and furcifer are difficult to adapt to new conditions. They seem to do well once acclimated but the transition can be difficult. Certainly worth the risk if they survive and begin breeding.
Good luck
