The true Gymnogeophagus che

Post by Ariel Puentes » Wed Jul 13, 2011 9:15 pm

I think this is the only picture of this cichlid on the web. Gymnogeophagus che is an endemic species from Urugua-i basin in Misiones, Argentina. Another endemic species present there are Australoheros tembe, Crenicichla ypo and Chrencichla cf. mandelburgeri.

Maybe a little bit more elongated (or is the pic??), but it looks "similar" to G.sp."Cuaró II" (http://www.aqvaterra.com/cichlids_gymno ... aro_ii.php)
So many new species!!

Thank you Ariel for all new photos!!
