Pre spawn regani

Post by Lee Nuttall » Wed May 05, 2010 1:07 pm

A lot is happening in the tanks recently including the Vieja regani pair. I'm very hopefull that they could be spawning soon. The pair have been doing a lot of shimmering and digging, with plenty of sand being kicked up.

Has anyone on the forum spawned regani? I would love some infomation on experiences if any, thanks.

Gave me some nice opportunities to capture their behaviour. 8)

I'm glad you've noticed that Piotr, this is one of my favourite aspects on these fish, the dorsal patterning is superb. :D

That reminds me my favourite dwarf cichlid I've ever had - Pelvicachromis taeniatus "Wouri" male - overall not the most colorful, but coloration of tail fin was breathtaking:

(pic does not show a half of colours on his fin :) )

P.S. Sry for hijacking your thread ;)

Awesome! I checked out the video and there behavior convinces me they are getting in the spawning mode. Good luck.
