Criboheros Alafari

Post by Sandman » Mon Jun 27, 2016 5:52 pm

Anyone on the forum have these fish or know how scare they are in the hobby ? I have group of 5 I purchased about a year ago. They were small, wild caught from Costa Rica. I was wondering how easy or hard they should be to spawn. presently they are about 5-6 + inches. can Anyone share about these cichlids ?

They are peaceful cichlids that do best in groups. I had 4 about 6 years ago. Never had any luck breeding them. A sand substrate is best since they like to sift.
Great fish and are very beautiful.
