Astatheros altifrons Female Guarding Fry

Post by Jim Cumming » Wed Jun 18, 2014 12:08 pm

This 50G tank has three A. altifrons in it, one male and two females. Both females spawn alternately with the male every two to three weeks. Here is one of the females hovering over her latest brood.

CA Earthearers. I'm lovin' 'em! My 120 gal tank with a T. helleri colony looks forward to welcome a pair or two of robertsoni, and my C. nanoluteus group would make a cool biotope tank with alfari... Just gotta get them :)
Cheers
Piotr
