hoplarchus psittacus

im very interested in locating some of the true parrot cichlids, does anyone know a possible source?

can't help you to a source, but they are native in South America, and will not be found in Central America

I have a couple of breeding pairs, and about a year ago, I raised a spawn. There are still some around the city for sale. Only problem is, I'm in Canada, and that makes the cost and paperwork ($$$) prohibitive. Here's a photo of some of the young. I think I'm in the wrong country.

thats really impressive, ive no idea what the cost would be ,im interested but i wouldnt want to break the bank or jump through alot of hoops.would these fellas mix with chocolate cichlids and uarus you think? by the way my apologies for starting this thread under the wrong heading.
