Thorichthys aureus gold

Hello,

In some US fish sotcklist we can see gold aureus. Is it the aureus from rio copan ? If yes, somebody know where is located the rio copan. I give you map to help us to locate the place :

Hello andy,

Thanks for you answer. Normally a group of french will order this fish. But I can't ind the rio copan on the map ... That's to be sure. We were not fare form Copan because we stay at Chiquimula for two nigths.

Actually, the aureus gold on Jeffs list are from Rio Bonita, or atleast he thinks they are. He has in the past had Rio Copan gold aureus though.

I think you got it right there, the one in the blue circle, as far as I remember rio Copan is also called Rio Shalagua or Rio Xalagua, hope this helps.

I would love to see some photos of the gold aureus. In what rivers can it be found?

We try to collect them in Motagua drainage ... In 2011, they has been found in Tenedores river ... Us we find only two in San Francisco river, after having visiting rio hondo, rio tenedores, and other ...

I have found rio bonito .... But it can be gold aureus at this place, or I have wrong information ... gold aureus is located in the motagua drainage ...

Can somebody help us to locate with certainty where come from the gold aureus that Jeff Rapps propose ... CAO propose the same fish to us in France ... It's quite difficult to exchange with Jeff Rapps. He doesn't answer to our mail. Thank's in advance for your help ...

I would not expect a Rio Bonita to exist in Mexico: In Spanish Bonita/o refers to Rio, and as the word Rio is masculine, Bonito/a should also be in the masculine form. Therefore Rio Bonito is gramatically correct.

Errors such as Rio Bonita will not be made by native speakers of Spanish

Yes. I can be interesting. And if he confirm the rio bonito, I'm not sure we can consider this fish a gold form ... Now, it's perhaps something new ...
