thanks. Do you have pictures of this Thorichthys. I think this is the amarillo thori ... In 2010, i'm sure we have collect few of them but we considere them as pasionis. Then we keep noone of this fish.

For the pichucalco, few pictures :

Female stard to be darker. There are now 18 month old ...

In the group there is an SF (strange fish). At the beginning I think it was a ellioti added to the group Inadvertently ...

But the only ellioti collected in 2012 was from rio Lalana and now it dosen't look like. In my collected fish I don't take ellioti. I have still ellioti from rio tepango. Then, it's confirm to me it's not an ellioti. Now appear a gold spot near the haed. sp. coatzacoalcos have the same kind of dot. In 2012, I collect sp. coatzacoalcos from rio uxpanapan. Then I more sure for this origin. I let judge on this pictures. He is in front of a helleri female :

I have a passion for Thorichthys species/. I am keeping an adult pair of of Blue Mixteco from Rio Grande with some juveniles . I admire that you keep your groups of fish collected from different locations separate and pure.

No young this summer. A lot of eggs, some non free swimming babies, ... but nothing else. I try to collect the young but they die quickely. At the same time, T. callolepis, T. aureus, T. pasionis & T. rio jaltepec spawn correctly and I have youngters.

Sorry to hear you couldn’t collect fry. Hopefully they will produce fry soon. They are beautiful.
I’d love to see pictures of your other other thorichthys species. I’m a huge fan of the genus.
