Paratheraps sp.Coatzacoalcos

Post by Jim Cumming » Thu Sep 27, 2012 12:19 pm

A pair of Paratheraps (Vieja?) sp. Coatzacoalcos have spawned in a "busy" 180G. I decided to pull the spawn and raise some of the fry. Here's a short video of the pair guarding their eggs, and a pic of the eggs after I successfully removed them.

Here are the 500 or so 'Coatzacoalcos' fry as of today, October 9th. They have now been free swimming for 7 days. Here they are feeding on frozen BBS. I'll be paring the spawn down to about 100 in the next day or two.
