Dear fans,

We would like to let you know that we have made a Dutch website about Central American Cichlids. We have been taking care of this beautiful group of cichlids for many years now and as we are so passionate about this hobby, we have already visited the home waters of these fish several times.

We have written many articles about our travels, as well as the way we take care of these fish. In addition, we try to gain knowledge from books, magazines and of course the Internet. The reason for this website is to shed a new light on this group of fish, which has not always been seen in a positive way. They are worth it!

With the booming of different types of social media, such as forums or Facebook, people find it easier to exchange their opinions about the ‘Centrals’. In the past, there were websites and magazines that covered different topics on the Central American cichlids, but unfortunately the wide use of the Internet led to their disappearance. Partly for this reason we have taken the initiative to set up this site to make these "classics" available again, but also introduce new items.

The site has a base and new articles, photos and other kind of information will be posted (approximately) every two weeks.

We hope you enjoy our website !

I've been following the website with interest from the Dutch forums I'm a member of. Congrats, very good website with some useful information, especially for people interested in setting up a biotope specific aquarium. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow and develop. :D
