hi could you help me in identifying this cichlid?

i got it as a guttulatum but people tell me its a zonatum.
im confused..

It looks to me, a Vieja Zonatum or Rio Coatzacolos (Red tailed vieja) .

here are some more pics of the big male i have..
the small one i posted is one of his offspring.
i got these paratheraps from a shop here in the philippines how got thier batch from conkel.. it was mislabeled i guess..

In seeing the bigger fish it's likely the Rio Coaztacoalcos fish. I don't think the fish where "mislabelled," as such -- instead, they were likely misidentified. I would not mix these with the "real" zonatus from the Pacific slope. They are going to be different enough in color and general appearance to warrant their appreciation as something distinct. Until the time occurs when this fish receives specific recognition you may regard it is something different and special from "normal" zonatus. It is certainly very attractive.
