Robert P. "Bob" Cashin, age 71, of Erie, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born in Yonkers, N.Y. on September 30, 1942, a son of the late Francis Cashin and Mary Ellen McIntyre.

Bob graduated from Sacred Heart High School and went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College.

He worked as a Chemical Engineer for Lord Corp, for 26 years.

Bob loved tropical fish and was a world renowned expert on livebearer fish. He was a fellow for the American Livebearer Association.

He was the president of the Erie Aquarium Society.

He will be missed.

Bob was a good friend that I just didn't get to see as often as I would have liked. He was always ready to share his knowledge with new and old hobbyists alike.
