ACA Convention business

Post by phil b » Tue Jun 02, 2009 2:17 pm

Just a reminder that all show entries for this year's ACA convention must be registered by June 30th. No entries will be allowed after that date, so if you are planning on showing your fish you have only 4 more weeks to get your registrations and show entries in. Also, the registration price also goes up to $50 on July 1st as well.

We have negotiated a special rate of only $15 at the Coco Keys indoor water park for all convention attendees. No reservations are necessary and tickets can be picked up at the Sheraton Cincinnati North Hotel during your stay. Children under 2 are free.

Here is a link to the water park.

Planning to be a Vendor at the ACA Convention??

Post by phil b » Wed Jun 10, 2009 3:27 pm

Secured vendor space (locked-up at night) is just about all sold out. If you are planning on being a vendor at this year's ACA convention and you want secured space, you need to contact our vendor chair, Jerry Riegel ([email protected]) ASAP.
There still is plenty of room in the unsecured open area of the convention but the ACA convention staff cannot be responsible for any lost merchandise as this area will remain open to the public 24/7.

I see no vendor information on the website for the convention (costs, etc). Am I just not seeing it?

Lisa,

It is currently not the website, but that is a good idea to put contact information there. I would post the letter hear, but I am unable to post either a pdf or MS Word doc file here. For now, the best way to get information is to email Jerry at the address listed above.

A vendor tab has been added at www.acaconvention.com with a link to the vendor introduction letter.

Key Dates for 2009 ACA Convention

Post by phil b » Tue Jun 23, 2009 7:23 am

Gang,

Here are some key dates that are fast approaching.

June 30th -Last day for fish show entries
July 1st - Registration rate increase to $50 for ACA members and $75 for non-members (includes a 1 year membership in the ACA)
July 6th - Last day convention rooms are blocked and will be opened up for the general public.

If you haven't gotten your show entries in yet, now is the time to do so. Also if you haven't made your room reservations, you need to do so quickly. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are sold out at the Sheraton. We still have rooms at the Fairfield for those nights, but it is likely they will sell out as well.

ACA'09 Showroom Announcement

Post by Mark M » Fri Jul 03, 2009 11:24 am

It seems that we have run into some confusion with our registration process. So, Phil and I have made an executive decision to open up Show entries until the end of the day Tuesday July 7th. You will still need to register on the website if you have not done so. As far as the show entries, please e-mail your list of entries and then you’ll have to pay for those entries via paypal. Since that field was taken for the convention registration page. I will e-mail you with the paypal payment information.

Send to [email protected]

I will be on vacation from Sunday July 5th until the evening of July 8th. So I will reply to all e-mails that evening. So don’t worry if you don’t hear from me in that time period.

Thanks for your understanding
