Orange Chromide 'Miniatures'

Post by Jim Cumming » Tue Jan 15, 2013 6:50 pm

These baby Etroplus maculatus have been free swimming for about five weeks now. I'm surprised that at such a young age they look so much like miniatures of the adults in body shape and behavior. Here's a couple of photos of these little 'carbon copies'. They're being fed baby brine
shrimp (live and frozen) along with micro-pellets. They're about 3/4" TL, the size they look in the second photo.
