hey there, could you id this cichlid? thanks, then I can research a bit more about it. one thing I do know is its very chasey and likes to hide in cave and goes all over the tank.

hey thanks for that, you were right and it also said known as mayan cichlid aswel. I noticed at my readings it say do not keep fish on its own alone. trouble is it is on its own at the moment, I can't keep anything with it, I had to rehome a lot of friendly tropical fish and I lost a silver dollar to it, it's definitely a badass as they say. I noticed at tank mate suggestions they recommend similar style fish like the red devil, I don't want to go there lol I don't have the tank for 2 big fish. my tank is 48 x 16 x 20. I was hoping dither or smaller fish would work but from what I see it won't work. any suggestions?
