xenotilapia spilopterus and nasuta and hikari algae wafers

A place to discuss the wonderful assemblage of lake Tanganyika cichlids from the tribe Ectodini, like Callochromis, Xenotilapia, Enantiopus, Cyathopharynx and Ophthalmotilapia!

I am trying to understand what your saying which is how do one think your fish will like them. I think they will accept them. But if they have never had them it may be gradual.

Hello!
I feed Hikari wafers (sinking type) to different species of herbivore fish, Asprotilapia, Eretmodus, Triglachromis,...
They all like them, if not to say "love them".
But: Soak'em before feeding, till they are really soggy! Other than catfish, they are not able to make use of a dry wafer!

Best regards
Gerd
