Lip locking , some advice please !

Post by Abu Hudhayfah » Thu Feb 26, 2015 10:13 am

Hello everyone I have a male and female blue dovii ( wolf Cichlid) in a 155 gallon bow front tank. I've had the female first by herself for ( six months) and I just bought a eight inch male two weeks ago and put them together hoping they bond. She laid eggs two days later and before the eggs could hatch the male ate them wow! However there is massive lip locking going on now. To the point where her mouth is peeling and looks swollen and God knows best. But she is the the one provoking the action and won't go into none of her hiding places to get away from him if need be I'm asking for help and advice thanks Amir..................also see doesn't seem to be in any danger at all.

I would find a divider and let her heal up again. Wounds can get infected.
