Where do you see the aquarium hobby in twenty years? What's going to be hot? Trends?

Sadly in my area, over the past 2 decades, we have fewer and fewer LFS and those that still exist are carrying fewer and fewer different fish species. With this, although I see the same numbers of new fish keepers, fewer and fewer continue on to become intermediate fish keepers. I get the feeling that the 2 trends are related. If a beginner wants to expand there's little out there locally to pique his interest. I know that I started with common fish but then looked for the more unusual and challenging species. When I was doing this (in the 80s) there were more LFS that sold many more unusual species than I see now. It's so discouraging that the only time I go to a LFS now is to buy supplies (I still prefer to support LFS whenever I can).
