Red Parrot Fish

Post by pault » Sat Aug 08, 2015 4:41 pm

I have a breading pair of red parrots. However, each time the breed the eggs get fungus by the second day. They are certainly a male and female as the male is much larger than the female and they constantly stay together even to fight as a pair to other fish.
Does anyone have advise to successfully hatch the eggs?

Most red parrots are sterile. I don't think that there is something we could advise you to do differently.

How do they breed them commercially?

From what I understand they are bred by 'test tube' type methods; but I could be wrong. No one seems to willing to give out the secret of how they are made or from what cross of cichlid.
