Timing of cichlid diversification paper!

Post by Nothonotus » Wed Sep 18, 2013 11:55 am

Hi All,

A bit of shameless self promotion. This is a recent paper of ours (researchers from Oxford, Yale, U. California-Davis, and U. Tennessee) on the timing of diversification in Cichlidae and finds that the timing of divergence between continental groups is not congruent with the timing of Gondwanan rifting.

I think we did a pretty good job of countering the old, tired adage "Absence of proof is not proof of absence"

Enjoy,

Ben
