Blue Dempsey

Post by Grange » Sat May 27, 2006 4:54 pm

Hi! I search for the information on this fish. Can anybody help me? I know Jeff Raps sells Blue Dempsey. I considered that this fish is the mutative breeding form of "Cichlasoma" octofasciatum. But I have found similar fish on amazon-exotic-import.de in the company of wild Amazonian Cichlids. So I'm in confusion.
Best regards,
Eugene

They are the descendants of CA fish, however, they are mainly bred in a facility in SA, that's how they possibly got on the same stock list ?.

The Nandopsis octofasciatum blue, or better know as blue dempsey its a product from mutations that the originial cichlid suffer and that they were fixed until it becomes a new cichlid, its a very pacific fish, so you can put it in any tank with other pacific cichlids, greetings
