tropheus polli or annectens?

can you say if they are polli or annectens? and where were they caught (ikola, bulu pt., etc...)?

Last months issue of Cichlid News featured T Annectens. It basically said that genetically, they are the exact same fish. Even though Polli are collected on the opposite shore of the lake.

Yep Ad explains it by showing how when the lake was at a lower level and in more bits the populations were near by on the same coast. As the lake filled and reconected they just followed the rocky shore to their pressent locations.

Took a lot of convincing but yep have to accept they are the same species.

As to variant details once its lost its lost. I could tell you which they look most like but then they may well not be pure.

That's exactly what I've explained in a very old paper inte journal of the french cichlid association, more than 10 years ago !!!

So good I guess Ad used it. :)
Has a neat graphics package too to show it now. Sadly this bit did not work given the erm less than perfect computer he ad to use as the EACG meet.
