Thank you so much Ingo, the article is a pre-print and not yet peer reviewed, printed in a pre-print server. So I assume the taxa are not available yet. I have provisionally added the names to the profiles in the site nonetheless

Thanks Ingo,
You are right Juan Miguel, just a pre-print, so not yet available.
Quite a pity that the etymology of the names is not given

I had a talk with Sven O. Kullander and the author is his previous student. Apparently it got out as a draft too fast and he appreciates if we remove the file and do not spread the names anymore at this point. I removed them from www.cicklid.org/artregister

Yes, that's good advice.

Correct, they are not available (not published according to the criteria of the code). So we should not use the new names in our catalog until they are formally published. This will hopefully (soon, now that the names are dropped) be the case, but nobody knows. Remember "Gymnogeophagus arcoiris".

I'm not familiar with the species of the genus, but all seem to have useful provisional names which should be retained until the paper is out.

Yes I just left the nomenclature records, with a 'provisional name' category.

To prevent further speculations. I’ve checked the publication under the view of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature.

It turns out that the names of the new species are not available in a nomenclature point of view. The ‘journal’ has no ISSN-Number and there is no ‘zoobank’ registration. Both are mandatory requirements to make new nomenclatural acts available under the code.

Nevertheless, it is an interesting paper and the names will be published soon.
