Thanks, then, there aren´t any Heros with gold coloration? all are hibrids? thanks I wouldn't call the gold or red severums we commonly see hybrids (which in the strict sense is a cross between 2 seperate species), I think it is more the case that these strains have arisen from selective line breed...

Had the opportunity of passing through wharf Aquatics in Pinxton today (UK) and they had these interesting fish in. I apologise in advance, but this is a little pet hate of mine just now. That is not Heros severus , H. severus is a mouth brooding species and completely different from your fish. There have been a couple of shipments of Crenicichla notophthalmus into the UK in the last month from Aquarium Glaser in Germany (who have them incorrectly listed as Crenicichla regani).
