Cheers Dan, that site was a good read I might leave venting till I get my new tank & have to move them :) Yeah still small I've heard splendida are pretty hard even at medium sizes to tell apart.. But I've not kept them before so not sure, These two are at the 3-4" mark at the moment & have a 1" red...

As the title says... Does anyone know of a way to get an idea of what sex petenia of a young age could be? I got 2 juvenile greens growing out in my African tank. I've got no idea how to tell them apart Got some pics they're not the best, these fish don't sit still & won't take their eyes off you so...

I had a small pair of Dovii at one point & before that had an umbee, had/have some issues with the new tank I ordered & still haven't got.. So had to get rid of them just as they were starting to get colourful, I'll definitely get them again when can provide adequate living for them
