wow beautiful fish. in my area the more common tang stuff is available. like this is one fish that i havent seen for sale in my area. nice aqquisition and good luck with em.

well i remembered my camera today but i had nothing to take pix of. the rams have eaten their eggs. but i hope that next time they will do a lil better and abstain from eating them. i will let you know if and when they spawn again.

usually a fish spawning would be a good thing, especially when them spawning is what you wanted. but, i had a pair of mikrogeophagus altispinosa (bolivian rams) and due to my finding the jack dempseys i wanted i ran out of room and something needed to go. so it was the rams. :cry: i got the dempseys...

update: had the oppertunity to get my hands on 3 more julies of the same species,so i got rid of the front and the acei. bought 3 more jul.marlieri and put those 3 plus the original 6 into my 55 that originally housed my front. once they start to pair off as they mature i will get rid of the "odd me...

a piece of coral i picked up, what y'all think???

i picked this piece of coral up at my lfs to put in my 55 tang setup. i know coral isnt replicating the fishes environment, but i really liked this and had to get it. im gonna post the pix here i just hope the links work. tell me what you think, or what kind of coral it might be. http://i7.photobuck...

yes i do know the latin name but not what species. i just didnt feel like typing the whole thing out cuz wasnt sure on spelling. and it is a female because the male of the species has a white tail and has a lil bit of blue in him while the female stays a bit gray to black. and she has been sexed jus...
