Yes I think so, but not sure.... Can be a R. parva too. Also from Santa Cruz dept ;-), found in a "flood lake".

Hi Flo,

I m sorry but at this time I don t have other pictures of those fish. But in two max I ll be able to privide proper pictures of both species.

I m quiet sure that it s two different fish, and not a chromatic variation.

p.s. Iranocichla is not an african cichlid ;-) but an asiatic one.

I also traveled many times due to family reason in RS (Rio grande do sul) in Brazil, and there I frenquently saw water temperature at arround 60 F or less. Sometimes during winter there, it s snowing in the Gramado city area, neao Porto Alegre. Some cichlids living there too....

You can join us if you want. The best way to go there is to go up to Sao Paulo from Europa, and then take a plane in Sao Paulo up to Santa Cruz.
