Re: manacapura red shoulder angelfish?

here is another link to the guy's aquabid site... http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/closed.cgi?view_closed_item&fwangelfish1307758246 this one expired a while ago... but looking at this fish it seems like it's the normal scalare - fin striations, snout etc. all seem to be that of normal angels....

Re: GEOPHAGUS ALTIFRONS Rio Tocantins

very nice! i have 6 of these guys and i can tell 4 look pretty similar to your pictures... i have two that look kind of different in that one has more yellow on the face and the other one is just much more spangled compared to the others... i should probably post pictures for a positive ID!

Re: Next Uruguay trip, who wants to go?

hi ken, how much fish collecting experience do you need? i've never collected before and have embarrassingly enough never cast a net (although i do love fishing :D). can you give us a sense of how many fish we are allowed to take back? :) obviously this depends on size, but for example sake, let's s...

Re: Some pictures of my fish :) (load warning!)

I must have some weird nicholsi then. I've a small group in a 20g. They are in with some tetras and starlight plecos. They don't chase each other or go after the other fish. the male is have is starting to show some aggression in the sense that he doesn't just sit there and 'take crap' so to speak ...

Re: Some pictures of my fish :) (load warning!)

thanks for the comments. well i don't really have many issues with this community. everyone is pretty well behaved. there's only real aggression between fish of the same species. is Astatotilapia latifasciata the revised name for haplochromis obliquidens or did i just get a completely different fish...
