I Think this coloring is an affect of a certain mood or maturity level. I have some friends who report that they gave all the same look, but at some date one or two burst into this color pattern. Habitat for exCichlasoma gephyrum/ornatum

I have 5 largest 5-6" of the Rapps gephyrum/ornatum from San Juan . I dont want to get into the debate on what they are i was just wondering what sort of habitat they come from . Questions i have if people know any of the answers woudl be much appreciated 1. Water Parameters PH,GH flast Flowing etc ...

I have 5 and two larger ones seem to be males . They were all purchased at the same time but two have grown bigger than the rest .

i know Robin , i offered them FREE and got no takers . They are the wild form and this weekend they will be going to the Local Fish Shop . To be honest the Caquetaia myersi need to be moved on as well as they are more white water fish

no its straight RO water , but because my water is very hard to start with i only get around 40ppm out so its almost like a mix of ro and tap ! Jim , lots of questions :D They are Wild Colombian from a dealer in the UK called Oddball Express . There are 5 2 males and 3 females . The males are around 8" and the females about 6" . They are currently in a 6 x 20 x 20 (480lts). They have pure RO water but my PH never really drops to below 7.0 ....

I have 7 nourissati is a 180 x 60 x 60 with no problems . I have two large males around 15-16cm 1 sub male around 13cm and the rest are females 8-11cm . They will sort out a hierarchy and then calm down. The largest males do have the odd quarry but nothing to bad
