also once a dominant polleni and chocolate establish themselves ill remove the lesser chocolates and pollenis from the aquarium, going to take all the females of those species out of the tank and keep single males, i am attempting to curb any aggression which may be braught on by those ladies messin...

I don't place as much importance on ph as other people probably.when it comes to raising wild species or breeding fish I do think that it becomes a greater issue. i spoke with litehouse and they informed me that the pool sand was silica sand, is there a specific type of sand i should look for or is silica sand acceptable?

thats really impressive, ive no idea what the cost would be ,im interested but i wouldnt want to break the bank or jump through alot of hoops.would these fellas mix with chocolate cichlids and uarus you think? by the way my apologies for starting this thread under the wrong heading.

with regular maintenace and cleaning schedule would you say that this type of substrate would be cleaner and healthier than say a gravel substrate? are there any pitfalls associated with this that i should be aware of from your experience?
