Re: planning a tapajos biotope

so a small update on this tank. lost one of my c. regani early on possibly to aggression but I'm not sure. I had to medicate a geo from the 125 tank for suspected columnaris and have moved the Oscar out (the geos look like they have never been more relaxed) and I am finally moving on to creating the...

They look healthy at least, pretty excited to have these whether they end up a part of this biotope tank or not, I'm assuming if a pair develops I'll put them in this tank though. 20151218_184938_zpseacdn5rm.jpg Next I'm g...

Re: planning a tapajos biotope

Generally speaking, in the Amazon area one does find much more wood then rocks good to know. i will keep it to wood and sand i guess. I'm debating how to keep live plants in this set up for the one corner. i think I'm gonna experiment a bit and make little balls a couple inches across of soil tied ...

Just thought I'd mention the Oscar is only in this tank temporarily, he will have his/her own digs before I put any dwarf pikes in there

open sores on Geo tapajos, white fuzzin sores

Hi, so I have one of my Geo tapajos red heads quarantined because he has open sores on his head with white fuzz coming out of them. None of the other fish have shown any signs(I think its my fault, I was overfeeding and I knew it and didn't keep up on water changes). So onto the cure, I thought it w...
