Proximus, it has a Y shaped bar behind the spot. the body is slightly enlonged and nose slightly more rounded, :)

i would say guianacara owroewefi 'grand lauissate, i have 3 of these growing on bought 10 7 doa :(. looks like i have a reverse trio could really do with adding to them,

after excessive research i believe your right with them being stergiosi, i think these may be rio caroni varient and the others i have breeding to be just a stergiosi, maybes the will develope to look the same?? time will tell.

i think the most likely Id on this fish is sphenizoa the fish is very white , not alot of spotts or yellowing in the tail and fins the saddle bar is thin and the spot is high up. :)

thanks for the reply DRE i have another guianacara group now breeding i bought as gaeyi but are clearly not, I think they are stergiosi due to the spot sitting below the upper lateral line. now these in the pic the upper lateral always goes through the spot. At first i put the 2 kinds together as id...

Hello all you south american Guianacara lovers iv got an ID for you!, iv got an idea what it might be and was sold as something else but would like to see what the cichlid nuts think? they are about 3.5" so still young.
