I just got some biotoecus sp. tapajos (which would be opercularis). I really grew in love with those little critters. What a display of colour. There is quite some info on the internet to be found on these species. I just got them a week ago and put them in with some dicrossus sp. tapajos (which all...

When available I always buy eartheaters in groups of 5 or 6. Your group of 4 is close enough I think, since you allready lost some. It would be better to wait if these will survive.

I picked some wild ones up a week ago. They are breeding allready! They look a bit different from other spectabilis I have seen, since these are almost completely orange.

In the Stawikowski/Werner Buntbarsche Amerikas III are about 20 pages on teleocichla. If you don't have the book, tell me which species you have and I will post what info they wrote about them.

I have a group of Geo. Tapajos II of which a pair spawned in the tank at the importers. This is a tank with (hard)tap water with ph 7.5. I am not sure which geos will breed in hard alkaline water, but I believe I read a post by Lee Newman on this subject somewhere.

Nandus nandus,

I got mine from a Dutch importer. he hasn't got any more. Ans that is bad news, because my male died within 24 hours. After examinating him, I discovered an ulcer behind one of his eyes. Bad luck for me this time.

I just aquired an adult pair of these beautiful pikes and was wondering if anyone has detailed info on them. I know the basics and checked the 'Mostly cihclids'site ofcourse, but any more detailed info is very much appreciated.

wow ! those fernandezyepezzi are gorgeous!
Yes I am very happy with them, just picked them up today. The importer had 2 more of the same size but would not sell them, since he has about 300 smaller fernandezyepezzi and he uses the big ones to sell the less attractive small ones.

Cryptoheros ID needed

I bought these fish as Sajica, but they lack the T-bar. They look a bit like spilurum, but are too colourfull I think. So, what are they? They are wildcaught and could be a crossbreed, well that's my guess.
