In general the males will be the bigger ones. To be sure you have to wait a bit, at 4-5 inches venting is pretty straight forward.

The Myersi is like an Oscar almost. Very interactive, always watching me. Always hungry and pretty. I keep them together with some of my smaller Parachromis grow outs. Mostly loiselle. Anything under about half and maybe 2/3 body length could be eaten. Tank mates should be tough enough not to be bul...

Freddies have the stripes, the can also look just dark.

They put them on the back of a big rock , I tried mirrors but no luck. Not to mention that mommy and daddy do not like me poking. Around near the eggs. The male took a chunk out of me not long ago...ten stitches, happened real fast. He said get out of the tank.

They change a great dal as they grow. Only one seems to be heading towards the nice blue, but the others are very pretty as well. Nice fish to raise no problems as yet.

Yes yes yes, I cannot wait to watch them develop, then breed. I hope to keep two pair of each caquetaia still looking for umbee I like.
