To me it looks as if it is 'fenestratus', and not 'zonatus'. My younger 'fenestratus sp. Catemaco' look just like your pics. My 'zonatus' have more black speckling on their sides too. This doesn't show in your fish. Also, I haven't heard of any other Paratheraps that change their coloration other t...

Hi all. I want to ask you for help in identification. I have bought 6pcs Paratheraps zonatus. But now I think it's fenestratus. One fish is being change its coloration. It's Pink fenestratus (sp. Beautiful - he has a lot of red on the head ... There are shots of parents of fish on the video.

thanks friends, so normal is the most beautiful red head, but these "others" like me. I had several pieces of fry with black eyes. So I was curious how they look when they are adults .. :D
