Re: Auto Water Change System (Chemillizer HN 55)

It does not vary with flow and I have mixed Seachem Prime at a 80:1 ratio to treat water before it hits the tank. Then it goes through my canister with crushed coral to keep my PH at about 7.5

Some other questions
How long for the eggs to hatch?
Should I leave the eggs in with the parents? (4 other HRP's in the same 75g tank)
If so at what time should I remove the fry before they are snacks?

Re: Auto Water Change System (Chemillizer HN 55)

Nice system, thanks for posting. Is the 1:500 ratio 1 gallon of waste to 500 gallons of filtered water? Also does the small bypass hose on the side of your unit do? 1:500 is the mix ratio of water and prime. I mix my prime 1:80 with distilled water to get the right dose. You have no waste water wit...

Re: Auto Water Change System (Chemillizer HN 55)

I have 5x75g, 1x55,1x40,6x20 and now that its up and running i will be hooking my 260 and my 125 up to it. I will also be building a rack to hold my 55 and two more 75's right away. So I will be running 1055g on the system. I have more tanks than listed :D Here's a pic of a few of my tanks. All my t...

Auto Water Change System (Chemillizer HN 55)

I'm really excited about this injector that I ordered. I will be running all my water through a 3 stage filter then it will be injected with Prime and mixed with a pump called Chemillizer HN 55 1:500 . I decided I wanted to try this system rather than have 2 50 gallon barrels in my fishroom. I know ...

Cryptoheros sp. "Honduran Red Point" leucistic

Just got 7 of these little guys (Cryptoheros sp. "Honduran Red Point" leucistic) from Jeff Rapps and it looks like one of the females is ready to spawn with a male. Her tube is all the way down and she has claimed the only pot in the tank. Wow that was fast. These are very cool fish they have a very...

Re: Wild Caught Jack Dempseys

Thanks for the pic and the video. They all look very nice I wish I could get my hands on a couple of those. I just got back from Cancun less than a month ago. Wish I knew then where to go snorkeling to see them.
