Re: Limnochromis Info needed

In my opinion it should be at least 80 mm. They can fit into 50 mm but they can't turn around.
I have about 2m long pipe 105 mm in diameter and they seem very happy about that.

Re: My new tank 2255 l

I think you are obsessed with "butterfly group". 25 x Xenotilapia nigrolabiata 9 x Xenotilapia sp. "Papilio sunflower" Kipili 6 x Xenotilapia singularis Ndole To keep 3 variants of same speices can cause hybrids and it's very hard to catch correct female if you decide to seperate the groups. These ...

Re: Microdontochromis rotundiventralis

Is there somebody who has experiences in breeding M. rotundiventralis? Or can tell about differences between female and male? Or about their natural behaviour in the wild? I'm afraid, that I have a group of ten females (assuming caught out of a school of females, what can be found of many species),...

Re: Altolamprologus Fasciatus

Hello I kept them for a few years. In my opinion one male and one female is enough to form a pair. Additional females shouldn't cause any problems if your tank is big enough. I think it has to be at least 120 cm long for one pair with places for hiding for female. Here is short article about fasciat...

Re: Paracyprichromis brieni

Honestly speaking I've never heard about P. brieni from Tembwe. There could be two explanations. Imprortet has found a new population near Tembwe or has made a mistake. The second answer is highly probable.

Re: this is the "Let's show your Bathybates!" thread

Thomas Yes, you are right. Taken at Tropheus few months ago. As far as I know these individuals are still in Cracow. I have seen bathybates two times in my life for few hours so I can't conclude if they are adult or not. They measured about 15 cm when they were photographed by Magda. Regards Przemek

Re: Do Compy's hold fry in their mouth ?!

Compressiceps do hold fry in their mouth. It happens when fry is trying to swim out of nest. Parents catch fry into mouth and spit out after few seconds into hiding place.
Of course I agree that they are not mouthbrooders ;).
