The Cichlid Room Companion

I took these fish from 1 of my outside tank so it would be easy to remove some. They all grew up together and there is no major fighting....but I'm not sure....It looks too crowded to me. The tank is 6x2x2 and has lots of rock and excellent filteration. The Mbuna that I'm looking at run in the 4-6in range. Thank you.

How many Mbuna would you put in a 180gal tank with lots of rockwork?

I bought all the fish from the same breeder...but these look more like my j.d.'s than the texas that i already have...especially the first pic. I was wondering if they were a different strain or breed of texas???

I had a few texas and gr. terrors come to bring my # up for breeding. These texas are different from the ones I have. Any info on them would be appreciated. The color of his head is more purple than the pics show. I don't know anything about him except that he is a veija. :oops: I thought he was a fenastratus but I get confused with all of the veija. There are no definites. They don't all look the same. :( I've had him from 1.5in . The only thing I know...
