Green Umbees are a very mean fish with each other but could not hang with the midas complex. You may be ok.

There is beautiful footage of Amphilophus chancho on the DVD "Nicaragua, cichlids from the crater". 8) Do you have a copy? Yes I have one and purchased 2 more for friends. I have a male form the frist group brought to the US. He is 16" now and was wanting to see how dad looks. I have him in a pond ...

Re: What Do You Reckon ?

No it could be and unless you know where it cam from it could be. It does look ...

Re: Neets and Chancho in a 120 gallon?

I wouldn't worry about the neets at all. They've always been able to take care of themselves in my tanks no matter their neighbors! They are quick, smart, and can be naaaaaaasty! Unless their Neighbor is an 18" wild male Dovii that loves to eat neets. I have over 20 in the pond until my friend sent...

Re: Today in the Fishroom 10/31/08 P. Loiselli "Yellow Head"

I have fish form Ken and Rusty pairs. Cool fish. I think it is something different. It is a great fish I just love it. It does not matter what it is as long as we dont spawn it with other types of fish. I just call it Yellow Head. Now if Ken will just get me some green yellow heads.

Re: Dovii Races - Please Clarify

Chris your female and the female in the pic of the female I thing are both Nic's. When you had the large pair in the pond did the female show more yellow. There is a yellow CR race and one with more purple/blue in the males. Maybe more but those are the one I have seen from the wild.
