I have collected extensively in Honduras, everywhere we have collected Amitilantia siquia (HRP), C. cutteri was also present, I have only seen one mixed pair in the wild. So it is not common occurance in the wild, but in the Aquarium central American cichlids will hybridize readily. Ken

Jeff Rapps had DNA work done on the EBJD and proved it to be a pure fish, not a hybrid, just a man man variety. Ken

Excellent, I have at least 100 or more at 1/4" now, starting to get tall, Peter has lost 3 of the adults and is down to a pair. I plan to keep 20-30 to grow out and sell the rest to selected epople who will raise them, pretty sure this is a new species, they may be the only ones in captivity. Ken

Every Rio has a different race so type local should be used with any wild fish. Rios only a few miles apart will have distinctly different fish. Ken
